As our direct to Digital service increases in popularity we have installed another Teranex processor.

Made by Black Magic Design the Teranex offers incredible results. Direct to digital transfers from videotape are ideal if you want to edit your home movies and perhaps produce a special memento of a special occasion from your families past. Protecting Your Memories

With the recent headlines about an anonymous hacker stealing hundreds of private images stored in the cloud, from over 100 celebrities, we all need to question just how vulnerable the cloud can be for digital content. That's not just our documents and newly created digital images, but our memories if we chose to store them in the cloud. Not only are the files stored on the cloud at risk from potential hackers copying the content, but that means they could also delete, alter or infect them with a computer virus as well. Here at Video and Cine 2 DVD transfers we have always understood that the safest way to store your digital memories is on Optical discs,that's CDs and DVDs in layman's terms or on multiple hard drives/USB storage. This means material cannot be accessed remotely, altered, or deleted. Using recordable CD's, DVD's and/or Blu-ray media is the best method to ensure that your digital content will not fall into the wrong hands or broadcast across the internet. This is why we offer transfers to DVD and digital and NOT to the cloud. You keep control and there's no annual subscription to pay unlike services that offer cloud storage.

Barcode stickers?

Some of our customers have asked us what the barcode stickers on their returned videotapes are. We stick one to each of your tapes the moment they arrive with us. They include your order number and our individual tape reference. It's very unlikely that a tape becomes separated from it's order whilst in our studios. But in that unlikely event we can match things up quickly using the information on the stickers we apply. They also help us check your order before we dispatch it. The stickers are removable adhesive so you can take them off once you receive your parcel back.

Editing your footage

Don't forget that we offer digital files both from cine film and from Video............ ideal if you want to do some editing of your memories. WE'VE MOVED

Wet Cleaning for Cine Transfers

After much research in terms of what fluid to use and how to best apply the cleaning process we can now offer an option of wet cleaning on cine film. Contact us for details. We'll discuss suitability on an individual basis.

We've teamed up with Royal Mail to offer a tracked service for shipping your orders to us. Simply download and print this label Fill in your order number and return address, fold the label and attach it to your parcel.

Take the parcel to the Post Office and they will provide a bar code and tracking number.

 Maximum Parcel size. 60x45x45 cm (for collection of larger parcels please call or email us) Delivery to us takes 48 hrs. The service is offered by Royal Mail and is fully tracked. However, we can not be held responsible for any loss or damage whilst your parcel is in the care of Royal Mail.

29th November service time update....... Our in studio time for average sized orders (up to 5 reels / Videotapes) is now up to 21 days. Do keep in mind that 2nd class deliver can take up to a week and using this method of shipping both in terms of getting orders to us and back to you will slow things down. We anticipate that orders received here by the 2nd of December will be returned for Xmas. (larger order will require more time) Check back for updates.

More ways to edit from one of our DVDs

Anyone looking for a PC software package to edit from one of our DVDs might want to look as Corel Video Studio http://www.corel.com/corel/product/index.jsp?pid=prod4900075 Highly recommended! The software offers a host of editing tools and transition effects. To bring the contents of a DVD in to the time line use the "capture" tab... then select digital media and from there select your DVD drive and the titles from the disc that you wish to import.
